An iconic estate, La Cavale is both a great wine and a special space where Paul Dubrule, the owner, has fashioned a unique wine-touring and environmental project.
The adventure got off to a start in the 1970's in Cadenet, at the place known as 'Travers du Faridoux et Cavale'. That is where Monsieur Dubrule acquired a sheepfold surrounded by 7 hectares of vines. Since 1986, Jean-Paul Aubert, the technical director, has worked on creating great wines. 2012 to 2017, a new wine cellar was designed and built. Designed by the famous architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the cellar is in an idyllic setting and is a great place to visit.
There are 42 hectares of vineyards with eight different grape varieties growing on land in the villages of Cucuron, Vaugines, Lourmarin and Cadenet, which produce wines in the Luberon appellation. We have three ranges of wines, the Petite Cavale (rosé, red and white), La Cavale (red and white) and our flagship wine, Grande Cavale (red), which we only make in the very best years. The estate has been undergoing conversion to organic for the past 2 years, and should be certified for the wine in 2020.
In our concept-store, you will find a wide choice of wines, our wines and wines from the world over. Discover our great local products - fine foods, fruit juices, olive oil, spirits, crystal, books and other treats.
