La Cavale

in Cucuron
  • La Cavale, new experiences in wine-tourism and organic wines. Come and discover the Luberon at La Cavale, through our organically produced wines, olive oils and honey, reflecting the vision of Paul Dubrule, La Cavale’s creator-owner.

In 1986, he tried his hand at the winegrowing experience with the creation of his Cucuron domain which he quite naturally baptized "La Cavale." His term as Senator, from 2005 to 2009 marked a new turning point: the creation of an exceptional new vineyard designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, which today has become a unique space dedicated to wine and to life in the Luberon.

La Cavale has made a significant step along its path of change with the organic certification of its wines in 2020. This project is headed up by Thierry Mueth, Paul Dubrule’s son-in-law, whose goal is to transmit a better future to generations to come.

    Organic wine/ olive oils/ honey:
La Cavale is above all rooted in its native earth, the Luberon, with 42 hectares of vines and whose organic wines cover several ranges and colors:

Petite Cavale: in white, red and rosé. This is an ideal variety for aperitives and simple everyday dishes.
La Cavale: in white and red. Wines with more substance and structure, perfect for accompanying more elaborate dishes.
Grande Cavale: in red. Processed only during the best years, this is a generous and complex wine that enhances the most refined dishes.
BLANC: in white, a micro-cuvée to celebrate organic certification. With a limited number of drawings.

Seven hundred olive trees, among them varieties such as Salonenque, Aglandau and Picholine offering three oils of very distinct types.
Fifteen beehives producing a succulent multi-flower honey.
Three charging points for electric cars.

Our 500-square-meter shop features local producers and possesses a world-wide selection of wines and spirits. Take time to stroll around!

    Tasting:
The tasting of our wines is free of charge and available without reservation. You will learn the differences between our wine varieties according to their blending and growing.
    Patio:
From our shop in the heart of the Luberon, La Cavale's patio extends into a green bower and offers you an unspoilt setting, ideal for a summer stopover!
Come and partake of a glass of wine while trying some local sweet or savoury specialties, lulled by the sound of the cicadas.
On Thursday evenings, musicians take over the patio and guarantee a festive atmosphere, accompanied by food trucks that concoct a variety of quality dishes for you on the spot.

    Interactive Workshops:
In order to prolong the Cavale experience, we propose the following interactive workshops:
Wines and Chocolates: From bitter to sweet for chocolate, from tannins to freshness for wine, let us reveal to you the secrets of how to match them.
